A short story  /  Μία μικρή ιστορία:
"Ενας γέροντας περπατάει σε μία παραλία πολύ νωρίς το πρωί και βλέπει ένα νεαρό να ρίχνει στην  θάλασσα τους αστερίες που έχουν βγάλει τα κύματα.
Του πιάνει κουβέντα και τον ρωτάει γιατί τους  πετάει ξανά στο νερό.
 Ο νέος του απαντάει πως οι αστερίες θα  πεθάνουν εάν ο ήλιος τους βρει στην ακτή.
Ο γέροντας αντιδρά...``Mα η παραλία είναι  χιλιάδες μέτρα και οι αστερίες εκατομμύρια. Πως μπορεί η δική σου προσπάθεια να αλλάξει την κατάσταση;``
Ο νέος κοιτάει για λίγο τον αστερία που κρατάει στα χέρια του και ρίχνοντάς τον και αυτόν στην αγκαλιά των κυμάτων λέει...``Η κατάσταση   άλλαξε γι`αυτόν εδώ``."

An old man is walking one day along a beach, very early in the morning, and  sees a young man throwing back into the sea the starfish washed on the shore by the waves.
He starts talking to him and asks why he is throwing the starfish back into the water.
The young man answers that the starfish will die when the sun will find them on the shore.
The old man responds: "But the beach is thousands metres long and the starfish millions. How can your effort change the situation?"
The young man looks shortly at the starfish he's holding and, throwing it too into the waves, says..."The situation changed because of this one.."
